What happens in Gangs of Galicia?

When Ana (Lago) calls her father, Jorge, from work to catch up, she has no idea it’ll be the last time they ever talk. He works on a sailboat, transporting tourists around Fuerteventura, Canary Islands. But soon after the two hang up, one of Jorge’s alleged customers shoots him in his own boat, killing him. When Ana heads to Fuerteventura to settle his affairs, however, she finds out Jorge had a secret bank account whose funds he bequeathed to two people Ana’s never heard of — Berta (Pujalte) and Laura (Cruz) of Cambados, Spain. Turns out Jorge was a drug trafficker who ended up messing with the wrong people — or so she thinks. Determined to get to the bottom of it, Ana moves to Cambados, where she meets Daniel (Novas), the son of a notorious clan of drug traffickers. Daniel is charming, adventurous, and wants Ana to represent him in court … and maybe, just maybe, he can lead her to the truth about her father.
