Simple techniques that yield gourmet results are what Easy-Bake Battle is all about. On this cooking show, amateur chefs compete to create delectable dishes while using time-saving hacks to beat the clock and stay ahead of one another. And yes, they must use Easy-Bake Ovens, albeit modified for typical home kitchen usage.
Hosted by Queer Eye’s food and wine expert Antoni Porowski, Season 1 also features some of the top names in culinary excellence as guest judges: Kristen Kish (Top Chef, Iron Chef: Quest for an Iron Legend), Derrell Smith (Mad Good Food), Jacques Torres (Nailed It!), Alyse Whitney (Bon Appétit), Kat Kinsman (Food & Wine), Alisa Reynolds (owner/executive chef, My 2 Cents LA), Monti Carlo (Help My Yelp) and Ilan Hall (Top Chef).
As host of Easy-Bake Battle, Porowski presents the contestants with various cooking challenges and judges every dish. With a highly refined palate and a keen eye for detail, there’s nothing he doesn’t notice, whether it’s a lack of salt or an improperly cut tomato. Rooting for every contestant, he gives effusive praise where it’s due and graciously offers criticism when something falls short of his expectations.
A member of the “Fab Five” on the Netflix reboot of Queer Eye, Porowski is known for his discerning epicurean tastes and is a frequent guest on numerous reality and talk shows, including The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and The View. Also an actor, Porowski recently appeared in the Polish-language mini-series Queen.
