If Season 1 of Crew Girl left you in the Easton Prep boathouse with more questions than answers, you’re in luck: The YA series has been renewed for Season 2.
“I am beyond excited for Crew Girl Season 2!” says Miku Martineau, the series’ star. “There’s so much left to explore with the characters, the romances, and the rowing team — it’s going to be a ride for sure! All I know is that it will definitely be a packed, juicy, drama-filled second season, so I’m ready to get back in a boat and on camera! #Teamteagan.”
Season 1 of the coming-of-age teen drama series launched on Sept. 10 and debuted in the Netflix English TV Top 10, where it has remained since its release.

When her dad gets embroiled in an embezzlement scandal, Teagan and her mom, Ella (Jessica Paré), move back to Ella’s hometown — the small coastal hamlet Eagles Cove. Teagan, an avid rower, soon learns that she’s not only the new kid at the intimidating Easton Prep; she’s also stuck on land. Easton Prep doesn’t have a girls’ rowing team, so Teagan stumbles into the coxswain seat of the unruly boys’ boat. The only catch? She’s never coxed before.
As if that weren’t chaotic enough, Teagan finds herself drawn to two of her rowers: Easton Prep golden boy, Josh, whose family’s name is on the boathouse, and the quietly determined Cam. Debrief the end of Season 1 with Martineau, Clark, and Braun.
With Season 2 officially on the way, Martineau, Clark, and Braun already have plenty of ideas about where the story could go next. “I think we should go on summer break or something, get lost in the woods,” Braun spitballs. “It’d be really fun to do a summer bash and be on the lake boat and see what their life is [like] outside of rowing too.” Clark is excited to go even deeper into the sport, adding, “We really want to step it up. I would love to try single sculling.”
And with Britney’s (Sage Linder) new girls’ team on the horizon, Teagan might get the chance to get back behind an oar. “It’s going to be interesting to watch,” Martineau teases. “She has such an attachment to the boys’ team, but she’s also in pursuit of her own rowing career.”
As for Teagan’s heart? Martineau says it’s anyone’s guess. “Who knows what can happen in Season 2? A love square — is that even possible?”
