The leap of faith has begun. Netflix’s upcoming live-action Assassin’s Creed adaptation has cast its first series regular.
Toby Wallace (Euphoria Season 3, The Bikeriders, Babyteeth), known to Netflix viewers for his breakout role as Campbell Eliot in The Society, is the first performer welcomed into the new series. Details about his character remain tightly under oath — this is Assassin’s Creed, after all — but Wallace will enter a world teeming with covert alliances, hidden agendas, and centuries of conflict.
The series comes from showrunners Roberto Patino (DMZ, Westworld, Sons of Anarchy) and David Wiener (Halo, Homecoming, The Killing), who are spearheading the first live-action entry in Netflix’s partnership with Ubisoft.
Assassin’s Creed will be a high-octane thriller centered on the secret war between two shadowy factions — one set on determining mankind’s future through control and manipulation, the other fighting to preserve free will. The series will follow its characters across pivotal historical events as they battle to shape humanity’s destiny.
Having sold more than 230 million games over 17 years, the Assassin’s Creed franchise has taken fans from ancient cities to revolutionary eras, weaving parkour, political intrigue, and philosophical warfare into one of gaming’s most enduring sagas. The Netflix series aims to bring that spirit to the screen with a new story, new characters, and a team of executive producers including Gerard Guillemot, Margaret Boykin, Austin Dill, and Genevieve Jones from Ubisoft Film & Television and Matt O’Toole.
With Wallace now officially in the cast, the Animus is humming to life.
