It’s nearly time to pop the cork on one of summer’s sweetest rom-coms. A Perfect Pairing, starring Victoria Justice and Adam Demos, is just a few weeks away, and according to the newly released trailer, viewers are in for a truly romantic ride. 

The upcoming film, directed by Stuart McDonald, follows an LA-based wine company sales exec named Lola (Justice) as she quits her job to chase her dream of starting her own wine distribution company. With her sights set on her first potential client, Vaughn Family Wines, Lola relocates to rural Australia only to find that the Vaughn crew is not interested in doing business with her. 

Desperate to prove herself worthy, Lola volunteers to work on the family’s sheep farm, where she crosses paths with Max (Demos), the station manager who ends up training her. “As they open up to one another, Lola discovers that Australia has introduced her to much more than just a love for entrepreneurship with a newfound love for Max,” the official synopsis adds. “But will Max’s secrets prevent Lola from reaping what she romantically sows?”

The trailer begins with a glimpse into Lola’s fast-paced Los Angeles lifestyle, showing her world of conference rooms and board meetings — culminating with her big announcement that she’s quitting her job. The scene quickly changes to the picturesque and idyllic Australian countryside, where the owner of Vaughn Family Wines tells Lola that there’s “no way” she’s going to partner with a first-time importer. 

Determined to make Ms. Vaughn see her in a new light, Lola sticks it out — but it’s not exactly smooth sailing. She struggles with the sheep, falls out of a tractor and fights with those pesky overseas outlets. The trailer also hints at the growing romance between Lola and the very dashing Max, who just might be harboring a secret or two.
