Pippa Fitz-Amobi (Emma Myers) is ready to crack a new case this spring.

A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder is returning for Season 2, giving the determined teen sleuth a new mystery to solve — and production has wrapped on the next chapter of this story. In a behind-the-scenes look at a day on set, Myers, her co-stars, and author Holly Jackson celebrate the end of filming. “I’m feeling very nostalgic,” Myers says in the video. “This season has been really special to me and I’m so excited for everybody to see it.” You’ll have to watch the clip to hear Jackson describe the “bigger and badder” upcoming season arriving on Netflix on May 27.

Myers (Wednesday, Family Switch) will be back as Pip, alongside Zain Iqbal as Ravi Singh, with the six-episode season picking up in the aftermath of the pair solving what happened to missing student Andie Bell (India Lillie Davies). They’ll be joined by new co-stars Misia Butler (KAOS), Eden H. Davies (Tell Me Everything), and Jack Rowan (Noughts + Crosses).

A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder Season 1 was adapted for the screen by Poppy Cogan, and Season 2 — based on Good Girl, Bad Blood, the second book in Jackson’s bestselling YA mystery series — will be adapted and written by Jackson and Cogan.

“I am BEYOND thrilled that we can continue Pip’s story and, this time, I’m writing on the show!” Jackson said in a statement. “We owe everything to the dedicated fans, and I can’t wait to reunite with my AGGGTM family!”

Added Cogan, “I’m delighted to be back in Little Kilton with Pip and friends for Season 2 and to have the opportunity to bring another of Holly’s gripping stories to the screen.”

The first season of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, produced by Moonage Pictures (The Gentlemen, The Famous Five, Bodies) for BBC iPlayer and BBC Three in co-production with Netflix and ZDFneo, premiered on Netflix in August 2024 and debuted at No. 1 on the Global Top 10 TV (English) list. The new episodes will premiere on Netflix globally, excluding the UK, Ireland, Germany, Australia, and New Zealand, and will premiere in the UK and Ireland on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer.

What happens in A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder Season 2?

After she solved the Andie Bell case in Season 1, Pip’s world has been transformed by her actions, and not always for the better. Pip is determined to fix the fallout — and stay away from any more investigations. But as Max Hastings’ (Henry Ashton) trial approaches, key witness Jamie Reynolds (Davies) suddenly disappears and Pip finds herself in a race against time to find him. This new mystery will take Pip to unexpected places as she struggles with the idea of justice, straying even further from the “good girl” she once was.

Remind me, what happened in Season 1 of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder?

Five years after the small English town of Little Kilton was forever changed by the mysterious disappearance of high school student Andie Bell, the determined Pippa Fitz-Amobi was certain she could get to the bottom of what really happened — and she was right. The last time we saw our self-assured teen detective, Pip had uncovered the truth about Andie’s murder and proved that Andie’s boyfriend, Sal Singh (Rahul Pattni), who had been accused of killing her, was innocent.

As the first season of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder came to a close, Pip’s community was reeling from the unsettling truths she had exposed, and the 17-year-old was facing some big life questions of her own. Sure enough, there are still more mysteries to be solved in Little Kilton, not to mention what might come of the budding romance between Pip and her fellow investigator, Sal’s brother, Ravi (Zain Iqbal).

Luckily, Season 2 should provide some answers as to what’s next for Pip — and likely a few more questions, as well.

When is A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder Season 2 coming to Netflix?

A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder Season 2 will arrive on May 27. In the meantime, you can stream all of Season 1 on Netflix right now.
