Sadie Sink: How are you doing?

Katrina Suhre: I’m so good. How are you?

Sadie Sink: Not too hot. She’s sad. She’s tired. It’s not the best situation. But, you know, we get to see a different side of her, and that’s kind of fun. 

[GFX: “How Long Does It Take to Get into Max-mode?”]

Sadie Sink: “How long does it take to get into Max-mode?” So hair, makeup, and costume. 

[CLIP] Max Mayfield: Ow, ow, that hurts. 

[CLIP] Susan Hargrove: It’s gonna be worth it. 

Sadie Sink: Hair is typically 10 minutes.

[clock ticking] 

Sadie Sink: Makeup is five minutes. And then another five for costume. 

[CLIP] Photographer Toby: Wardrobe change! Thank you.

Sadie Sink: So, like, 20 minutes in total.

Sadie Sink: It’s not that bad. 

[CLIP] Susan Hargrove: See? Pretty. 

[GFX: What Are You Most Excited About This Season?]

Sadie Sink: I think working with Vecna.

[CLIP] Vecna: It is time, Max. 

Sadie Sink: It’s gonna be very exciting and very scary. 

[GFX: Scene Partner Most Likely to…]

Sadie Sink: This is a fun one. “Scene partner most likely to… make you laugh.” It’s been Gaten. He’s been making me break character a lot recently. I don’t know, whatever comes to his head is usually hilarious and genius. 

Gaten Matarazzo: God’s toenail. God’s toenail, is that what people call it? I always thought that was gross. They’re like, “He clipped it off, and now it’s just falling towards Earth.”

Sadie Sink: But then sometimes it’s also Caleb.

[Lucas spitting] 

Sadie Sink: But I’d say Gaten this season pretty consistently. See if you can get a high-five. “Scene partner most likely to nail it in one take?” I’m gonna give this to either Joe Keery or Gaten. They come very prepared. They know what they’re doing.

[CLIP] Steve Harrington: Step back.

[CLIP] Dustin Henderson: No.

[CLIP] Steve Harrington: Seriously.

[CLIP] Dustin Henderson: No! If you die, I die. 

[CLIP] Steve Harrington: OK.

[GFX: What Other Character Would You Want to Play?]

Sadie Sink: “If you could play anyone else on Stranger Things for a day, which character would you choose?” Hmm. Maybe I’d say Robin, maybe?

[bell dinging]

[CLIP] Robin Buckley: Hey, dingus, your children are here.

Katrina Suhre: That’s a good one.

Sadie Sink: I think Robin could be fun. What would you say, Kat?

Katrina Suhre: Me?

Sadie Sink: Yes.

[both laughing]

Katrina Suhre: I feel like, actually, Robin’s a good choice.

Sadie Sink: Robin’s fun.

Katrina Suhre: Yeah. Yeah. 

Sadie Sink: Yeah. I would choose Robin.

[CLIP] Robin Buckley: You are 0-for-6, Popeye. 

[CLIP] Steve Harrington: Yeah, I can count. 

[GFX: What Is Your Favorite Part About Playing Max?]

Sadie Sink: Well, I like that it doesn’t take too much time in the hair and makeup trailer.

[camera clicking]

Sadie Sink: And getting into costume and stuff. No, but my favorite thing about playing Max, she kind of … she’s very different than me, so it’s fun to kind of step out of my own shoes and be a little mean sometimes. And I also like that every season she continues to grow, so it keeps things exciting, um, for me. 

[CLIP] Max Mayfield: You’re gonna treat him like garbage. Give him a taste of his own medicine.

[CLIP] Eleven: Give him the medicine.
