Before sailing back onto the high seas, ONE PIECE star Iñaki Godoy learned Japanese to chat with creator Eiichiro Oda about the epic adventure that awaits our favorite pirates-to-be in Season 2.
Treasure abounds as they discuss Oda’s first set visit in Cape Town, South Africa, where the show is filmed, as well as the Grand Line’s wild threats that are sure to bring about some big surprises.
“In that universe, the Grand Line is the harshest of the seas. That’s why there are giants and, of course, lots of bounty hunters,” Oda teases in the video above. “This needs to be a season full of new, surprising elements. That’s why it’s more challenging.”
