WWE Raw kicked off the year in Brooklyn with a wild Stranger Things–themed episode that saw CM Punk successfully defend the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Bron Breakker and Becky Lynch sneak a victory over Maxxine Dupri to become the new WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion.
After the wild start to 2026, the next two weeks of Raw are taking the squared circle out of the United States. It begins with the Jan. 12 episode of Raw, live from PSD Bank Dome in Düsseldorf, Germany, which will feature a first-ever match between AJ Styles and Gunther.
How’d that clash come to fruition? Well, ever since Gunther defeated John Cena in Cena’s final match at Saturday Night’s Main Event back on Dec. 13, he’s been antagonizing fans and his peers by mocking Cena. Styles got fed up and clocked Gunther, prompting two of the world’s greatest wrestlers to be scheduled for a match by Raw GM Adam Pearce.
Strap in — we’re officially on the road to the 2026 Royal Rumble on Jan. 31, so every lead-up episode of Raw is must-see TV. Mark your calendar to note the shifting start times for upcoming international Raw broadcasts.
