Meet Simone Susinna, the Hunky Gardener in ‘365 Days: This Day’

A challenger for Laura’s affections has emerged.

    April 27, 2022

The highly anticipated sequel to 365 Days365 Days: This Day — brings back Laura, Massimo, Anna and more characters from the original film, but it also introduces a new hunk: Simone Susinna’s Nacho, the mysterious gardener. Nacho emerges as a challenger for Laura’s affections as she struggles to adjust to life as Massimo’s wife, and he initially seems to be the answer to Laura’s troubled relationship with her new husband. As the film goes on, however, Nacho reveals a darker side, and Laura’s love triangle grows even more fraught.

So who exactly is this new — how do we put this delicately — eye-catching star? Susinna is an Italian-born model with no other acting credits to his name: He’s mostly known for his modeling campaigns and for having cheekbones that should probably be registered as deadly weapons. But when Michele Morrone announced Susinna’s addition to the cast, a shirtless photo of the pair burned up Instagram, garnering more than 3 million likes. That’s a lot more than 365!

Susinna is no stranger to thirst traps. (In a way, his 365 Days role amounts to a feature-length thirst trap.) A quick scroll through his Instagram feed sees him wearing everything from a perfectly cut suit to, well, very little. He’s also got a knack for motivational speaking (accompanied, as such motivation usually is, by a dripping, fresh-from-the-shower selfie). “I [am] who I [am] because of my failures not my successes. Focus on yourself,” he mused in a caption last October, with a photo of his abs attached. So true. But, of course, Susinna is more than just looks. He’s also got a dog! And here he is taking an important phone call... Business can be so stressful sometimes.

Now, you might be wondering: Signor Susinna seems awfully serious. How does he unwind after a long day? Well, that’s easy. By listening to music on the couch (shirt optional)! There’s also some evidence that Susinna enjoys standing next to, and even occasionally getting out of, a kayak. Whether he’s ever gone further than that, that’s for him to know and us to find out.

And, naturally, just like any hot-blooded Italian man, Susinna enjoys putting on a white tank top and eating a big ol’ plate of spaghetti with marinara sauce. Somebody get this man a napkin!
