After making history in its debut week, the global Squid Game craze continues. For the second week in a row, Season 3 was the No. 1 non-English show in all countries ranked after amassing another 46.3 million views. Fans of the dystopian thriller were eager to watch the final moral showdown between beloved Seong Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) and the chilling Front Man (Lee Byung-hun) in a final game testing the limits of human compassion.

Squid Game Season 3 is now Netflix’s third-biggest show ever through two weeks, with 106.3 million global views — and climbing to No. 3 on the non-English shows Most Popular List. Both prior seasons of the K-drama continued to climb the Top 10 as well, with Season 2 rising to No. 2 with 4.9 million views and Season 1 reaching No. 3 with 3.8 million views. Squid Game is now the third show ever to claim the top 3 spots in a single week, after Stranger Things and Money Heist, and the first since 2022.

The action didn’t end there, though. Last week’s most-watched movie, The Old Guard 2, debuted at No. 1 on the English Film List and carved out a spot in the Top 10 in all countries ranked with 37.5 million views. In the action sequel based on the graphic novels by Greg Rucka, Charlize Theron reprises the role of the immortal warrior Andy as she meets her match in Uma Thurman’s mysterious villain Discord. Fans of the series prepared for the sequel by revisiting The Old Guard, which spent another week on the list at No. 4 with 9.5 million views. Finally, the French action revenge thriller K.O. pulled no punches, taking the No. 3 spot in non-English Film and was a Top 10 hit in all countries (1.9 million views).

Fans making plans with the “Couch, couch, couch!” continued tuning into the K-pop musical animation KPop Demon Hunters. Now in its third week, the film took the Top 10 by storm in all countries ranked and claimed the No. 2 spot on the English Film list with an additional 22.7 million views. The fictional rival bands, Saja Boys and HUNTR/X, also joined forces to surpass BTS and BLACKPINK, respectively, as the highest-charting K-pop groups in US Spotify history. They took over the Billboard Global 200, too — HUNTR/X’s “Golden” rose to No. 2 on the chart, while Saja Boys’ banger “Your Idol” ranked at No. 10.  Plus, the film’s companion album achieved the biggest streaming week for a soundtrack since Barbie in 2023, climbing up 5 spots from last week to land at No. 3 on the Billboard 200.

There was plenty of variety for documentary fans in yet another big week for the genre. Audiences remained fascinated by the disasters explored in two new installments of the Trainwreck anthology series. Coming in at No. 5 on the English Film list, Trainwreck: The Cult of American Apparel (7.8 million views) follows the rise and fall of one of the US’ most successful fashion brands. Meanwhile, Trainwreck: Poop Cruise definitely doesn’t stink — the film about a cruise ship plumbing disaster grabbed viewers for another week at No. 6 (7.1 million views). While at sea, audiences became captivated by marine conservationist Ocean Ramsey’s mission to protect sharks, with Shark Whisperer debuting at No. 7 with 6.1 million views. In English TVAttack on London: Hunting the 7/7 Bombers, the untold story of the devastating 2005 terror attack on London’s transport system, debuted at No. 3 with 4.7 million views.

Plus, the family drama The Waterfront maintained its Top 10 empire as the No. 1 English show in its third week with 5.6 million views. Season 2 of the fantasy-drama The Sandman debuted at No. 2, while also climbing to the Top 10 in 86 countries with 5.3 million views, and was joined by Season 1 at No. 9 (1.7 million views). Rounding out the dramas last week, Season 3 of Ginny & Georgia remained popular with fans and claimed No. 4 in its fifth week on the list (3.3 million views).
