Time for your beats per minute to soar once again — The Marked Heart is back for another season. The Colombian telenovela continues the twisted love triangle between Simón (whose wife, Valeria, was murdered for her heart), Camila (who ended up with said heart) and Zacarías (who bankrolled the theft of said heart to save his wife, Camila). The series was created by Venezuelan screenwriter and author Leonardo Padrón (Amar a Muerte, Ciudad Bendita) and directed by Camilo Vega (Paquita la del Barrio, Pasión de Gavilanes). 

As Season 2 begins, Camila is hiding out in Mexico and happens to run into Simón. The two rekindle their piping hot romance — until Zacarías pops back into the picture. The political strategist is feeling vengeful: He wants Simón to go through the pain he did when Camila was dying of heart failure — and exacts a plan of revenge involving Simón’s daughter, Samantha.

What happens in The Marked Heart Season 2?

After Zacarías discovers his wife, Camila, faked her death to get away from him, he’s infuriated. So he hatches a plan to get her back — and get revenge on Simón, who’s in love with Camila. Zacarías, whose wealth and connections provide him an in with the president and heavy support from a sinister organ-trafficking organization, intends to make Simón suffer just like he did when Camila’s life was threatened — and prove to Simón and Camila that he had no choice but to have Valeria killed.
