But when she joins forces with a CIA agent and a prison guard to hunt down the escaped convicts, she’s shocked to encounter some familiar cases. Can she unravel the secrets of the Pit fast enough to catch these killers? Or will a larger conspiracy keep her from saving lives? What happens in The Hunting Party?

A profiler with uncanny instincts and an eye for details, Bex Henderson (Roxburgh) was once a rising star in the FBI. However, for the last five years, she’s been enjoying civilian life, focused on raising her adopted daughter and catching small-time crooks fixing card games at a local casino. All that changes when, one day, the attorney general of the United States sends a cryptic message asking for her help. When Bex attends a meeting at a secure military base, she meets cagey CIA agent Jacob Hassani (Sabongui), who hands her the file of the first serial killer she ever caught, Richard Harris (Tobias Jelinek). Shocked that she’s being asked to profile a dead man, Bex demands to know what’s going on. Instead of telling her, Hassani takes her to a top secret facility called the Pit.

Formerly the country’s most secure, off-the-books prison, the Pit is now a disaster zone after a major explosion destroyed the central underground structure. Hassani reveals that instead of carrying out Harris’s death sentence, the US government decided he, and others like him, would be sent to the Pit, never to be heard from again. But this morning, during the chaos in the aftermath of the explosion, Harris and dozens of other inmates escaped. If they want to catch Harris before he kills again — and contain the information that he’s alive in the first place — Bex will have to swallow her anger at Harris’s delayed justice and create an updated profile.

With the help of Harris’s prison guard, Shane Florence (McKenzie), Bex works the case, but considering all the information Hassani is keeping from her — including why the government was collecting killers like Funko Pops — she’s worried Harris will outsmart her the second time around. And with all the other inmates of the Pit on the loose, Harris isn’t even close to Bex’s only problem: Her contentious history with the Pit’s warden, who just woke up in the hospital, might derail her investigation.
