Part of the success ofThat ’70s Show was due to the fact that the core group of friends got along so well both on- and off-screen. In fact, their dynamic is what That ’90s Show star Ashley Aufderheide loved about the original series that inspired the reboot.
“The chemistry between the actors and the relationships and everything about how the actors really intertwined together — I loved that,” the actor, who plays riot grrrl next door Gwen, tells Tudum. “And I definitely wanted to see that in That ’90s Show as well.”

As you can see in this gallery of instant-camera photos from behind the scenes, that camaraderie happened for the new cast right away. Star Mace Coronel, who plays Jay Kelso (yes, he’s Kelso and Jackie’s son), says the mood on set was easy from the beginning. “We were all just goofing around. We didn’t really have to try for our chemistry at all. It was a fun experience just working together and making something very happy,” he tells Tudum.
