Hello, Wisconsin! It wouldn’t be Point Place without the original That ’70s Show gang. Debra Jo Rupp (Kitty Forman) and Kurtwood Smith (Red Forman) were already set to executive produce and return for the upcoming sequel series, That ’90s Show. But as of today, it won’t just be the elder Formans “hanging out, down the street, doing the same old thing... they did last week.”
Topher Grace (Eric Forman), Ashton Kutcher (Michael Kelso), Laura Prepon (Donna Pinciotti), Mila Kunis (Jackie Burkhart) and Wilmer Valderrama (Fez) will all reprise their That ’70s Show roles in That ’90s Show in special guest appearances.
Set in 1995, the show follows Eric and Donna’s daughter, Leia (an apt name, given Eric’s known love of Star Wars). That ’90s Show catches up with the next generation of Formans, as Leia heads to Wisconsin for the summer to stay with her grandparents, Kitty and Red. Under the watchful eye of Kitty and stern glare of Red, she bonds with a new crop of Point Place kids. But as the series’ logline reads, “Sex, drugs and rock ’n roll never dies, it just changes clothes.”
Callie Haverda will play Leia in the 10-episode series, alongside Ashley Aufderheide, Mace Coronel, Maxwell Acee Donovan, Reyn Doi and Sam Morelos as the new Point Place teens.
Curious to see if Red still wants to put his foot where the sun don’t shine after all these years? We’ve also got your first look at Kitty and Red in their trademark kitchen, proving that even as the decades come and go, Red and Kitty are still the same. And, we really are all alright.
