In Squid Game: The Challenge Season 2, 456 players were tested like never before, leaving a trail of ink-stained tracksuits in their wake. 

While their eliminations were final, fans voted to give one player a shot at redemption — not in this game, but in the next season of the competition series with the Second Chance Fan Vote. 

So, which player came out on top and has another chance to take home the $4.56 million prize? Viper (Player 152) has won a guaranteed spot in Season 3 after receiving the most votes. In the final round of voting, he surpassed the other most nominated players, Mark (Player 100), Viper (Player 152), Zoe (Player 369), Raul (Player 431), and Jacob (Player 432).

“It’s been positively overwhelming seeing such an outpouring of support,” Viper tells Tudum about fans voting for his return. “I think that people recognized that I’m genuine and found a way to advocate for my best interests without losing my sense of self.”

As for his plans for Season 3, the New York-based DJ and SoulCycle coach has a simple and hopefully effective strategy: “I plan to cause total chaos.” Of course, he’ll also have the benefit of experience, knowing that even the slightest misstep — say a dropped ball during a game of catch — can trigger an elimination. “I did learn that every single decision should be considered in great detail,” he says. “For Season 3, I will surely use a microscope with every choice I make.”

And while Viper has yet to meet any of his fellow Season 3 players who’ll enter the dorm alongside him, he does have some thoughts on how they’ll react to seeing a familiar face. “I feel like they’ll come for me or want to build an alliance with me because I'm fierce competition.”
