[tense music playing]
Amanda: The guards comin’ in, not gonna lie …
[buzzer sounds]
Amanda: [laughing nervously] … actually really scary.
Guard: Attention, players.
Crowd: Oh!
Man 1: Wow!
Man 2: Uh oh!
[players murmuring]
Purna: Every time I see the guards, I feel like something bad is about to happen.
Bryton: They’re not on our side. They’re here to feed us, look intimidating, and tell us what to do.
Ashley: These guards, in their black masks, with their circle and square faces, it’s creepy as hell.
Guard: Players were eliminated.
Man 3: Wow.
[creepy music plays]
Daniel: So I notice every day that the guards are just staring at us and trying to intimidate us and break our will.
[whimsical music playing]
Daniel: To me, that O on their face stands for “ominous.” So nobody really wanted to look at them or give them any kind of flak.
[whimsical music continues]
Dylan: Damn, these guys aren’t playing around. These guys are robots, you know, just walkin’ around, just …
[feet stomping]
Dylan: Guess we’re not havin’ friendly conversations with these guys.
Guard: You must now choose someone to share your picnic with.
Man 8: That’s what I’m talking about! Yeah!
Hallie: I cannot stand the guards. Every time I see them, I feel like they’re about to ruin my life.
Yu Hannah: The guards are creepy. Don’t mock them. They … They will … They will …
[blades clang]
Jada: These guards are funny to mess with, OK? I sit there, and I name this one, this one. Justin, Robert, Jones. I don’t know what the **** to call them. But I love ******* with them so bad because they just look at me, like … And I can’t see their face! So it’s just funny that they do not break character at all.
Dash: I kinda think the guards are hot. I don’t know. It’s something about the mask and the whole outfit. And, I don’t know, the no speaking. It works well for me. I’m into the guards.
