





Rashmika Mandanna, star of The Girlfriend, is now a wife. The actor, known for her work in Telugu and Hindi films, tied the knot with producer and fellow actor Vijay Deverakonda on Feb. 26 in Udaipur, India. The pair first met on the set of their 2018 rom-com Geetha Govindam and reunited onscreen the following year in Dear Comrade. They reportedly got engaged in October 2025. “The man who taught me what true love feels like,” Mandanna wrote of her new husband in a celebratory post. Deverakonda — the star of movies like Kushi and Kingdom — also celebrated their nuptials on Insta, calling Mandanna his “best friend.”
Mandanna got her start as an actor in the 2016 Kannada rom-com Kirik Party, and also starred in the action flick Anjani Putra and the romantic drama Chamak before her breakout in Geetha Govindam. She went on to co-star in comedies like Sarileru Neekevvaru and Bheeshma, action dramas like Pushpa: The Rise and its sequel, and the horror rom-com Thamma. This spy thriller, directed by Shantanu Bagchi, takes place during the 1971 India-Pakistan War and follows Aman (Sidharth Malhotra), an undercover Indian intelligence operative assigned with locating a secret Pakistani nuclear facility. Mandanna plays Nasreen, Aman’s wife, who seemingly doesn’t know their marriage is a sham meant to bolster his disguise. But Aman’s love for Nasreen is real, and his feelings lead to complications in his mission, which turns out to be far bigger than anyone anticipated. Parmeet Sethi (Laila Majnu), Sharib Hashmi (The Diplomat), and Kumud Mishra (Mr. & Mrs. Mahi) also star.

Bhooma Devi (Mandanna) is an upbeat student pursuing a master’s in literature. She dreams of a great, life-altering love — and thinks she might have found it when she meets Vikram (Dheekshith Shetty). But their light-hearted dates and mutual affection soon turns toxic and possessive, and Bhooma is forced to question what kind of love she’s willing to accept. Is this love? Or something that could negatively impact the rest of her life? Anu Emmanuel (Japan), Rao Ramesh (HIT: The Third Case), and Rohini (Kushi) also star, along withRahul Ravindran (Jigra, Manmadhudu 2) who directed the film.

This historical action flick is based on the life of Sambhaji, the second ruler of the Maratha Empire, and inspired by author Shivaji Sawant’s 1969 book Chhava. After his father’s death, warrior-king Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj (Vicky Kaushal) battles enemy forces led by Mughal emperor Aurangzeb (Akshaye Khanna), and incursions from within to keep his kingdom alive. Mandanna plays Yesubai Bhonsale, Sambhaji’s wife. Ashutosh Rana (War), Divya Dutta (Veer-Zaara), and Vineet Kumar Singh (Jaat) co-star.

Vikas Bahl (Shaandaar) directed this family dramedy about newly minted lawyer Tara Bhalla (Mandanna) who learns that her mother, Gayatri (Neena Gupta), has died. She travels to her hometown to help her father, Harish (Amitabh Bachchan), with the funeral arrangements. The two quickly clash over what Gayatri would have wanted, and Tara’s three brothers, Karan (Pavail Gulati), Angad (Sahil Mehta), and Nakul (Abhishekh Khan), prove unhelpful. But as the family gathers under one roof, they’re forced to contend with years of resentment and misunderstandings in order to heal together.

When his father (Anil Kapoor), a wealthy steel tycoon, is threatened by outside forces, Ranvijay (Ranbir Kapoor) returns home after eight years. Determined to keep his father, his family, and his legacy alive, Ranvijay goes on a violent revenge mission against those who would do them harm — no matter the consequences. Mandanna plays Ranvijay’s wife, Geetanjali, who grows frustrated with her husband’s unflinching devotion to his father. Bobby Deol (Jhoom Barabar Jhoom), Triptii Dimri (Qala), and Shakti Kapoor (Mujrim) also star.

This sequel to the 2021 action drama Pushpa: The Rise was written and directed by Sukumar (Virupaksha) and once again follows Pushpa Raj (Allu Arjun), a laborer-turned-red sandalwood smuggler who fights back against a growing sea of enemies. They include corrupt police officers, shady former allies, and rival gangs. Can Pushpa, with the support of his wife, Srivalli (Mandanna), keep his power and influence intact, or will his adversaries destroy everything he’s worked so hard to build? Fahadh Faasil (Irul), Jagapathi Babu (Mr. Bachchan), Sunil (Revolver Rita), Anasuya Bharadwaj (Flashback), Rao Ramesh (Pakka Commercial), and Ajay (18 Pages) co-star.
