Get ready for more Oddballs than ever before, because YouTube creator James Rallison is bringing his popular YouTube cartoon to Netflix. According to an announcement from the man himself, Oddballs will adapt Rallison’s YouTube series into an all-new original animated series full of new faces and familiar comedy. You can expect everything from talking crocodiles to cactus trailer homes and, of course, a few explosions. Here’s everything you need to know about Oddballs.

Who is James Rallison? Rallison is the creator of TheOdd1sOut, a YouTube animation channel that follows a marshmallow-shaped little fellow (also named James) who pontificates on subjects ranging from his social life to puns and pet peeves. As of June 2022, the channel had more than 17 million subscribers. Rallison co-created Oddballs with Drake & Josh and Zoey 101 writer Ethan Banville.

What is Oddballs about? As James explains in his announcement video, Oddballs will be an expansion of the premise viewers already love from the YouTube channel. It will follow the bubbly James along with a few new friends, crocodile Max and possible time-traveler Echo. James’ campaign against everyday annoyances will reach new comic heights on the series — and maybe get him into a little bit of trouble.

When is Oddballs coming out? The series will hit Netflix this year, but you can get a glimpse at some footage on James’ YouTube channel; he’ll be releasing exclusive clips and storyboards during his appearance at VidCon on June 25.
