Ever sat through a boring meeting, daydreaming about a Netflix show you wish you could be watching instead? Well, now’s your chance to go inside all the thrilling titles heading to your queue in 2025. You might not be ready for what’s next on Netflix this year, but trust that it’s going to be the biggest, boldest, most exciting, and most surprising year yet.
In the Next on Netflix 2025 video above, you can follow along as our hero’s daydreams come true — on a whole new level. Traveling through the worlds of upcoming Netflix series and films, she jumps back in time to the Demogorgon-ridden ’80s of Stranger Things Season 5 and throws on a green tracksuit to enter Squid Game as contestant number 025. (Get it, 2025?) Deeper down the rabbit hole, you might even spot a sneak peek at a scene from Wednesday Season 2 — that is, if Wednesday’s visions are to be trusted …
We know there’s a lot going on here, so we want to make sure you catch every nod to what’s to come — perhaps ones that even a hardcore fan might not spot at first blush.
Below, check out every reference, frame by frame, in our guide to Next on Netflix 2025:
As our hero levitates, her workplace’s conference room gets an ’80s makeover, and the Upside Down takes over — complete with a Demogorgon entering the space
On the coffee table in front of our hero, we see a WSQK mug and “Missing” posters featuring pictures of Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown). Wonder what those could be referring to?
As our hero flies through a wall of books, we see a number of tomes referring to titles fans should pay special attention to, including: Frankenstein, The Woman in Cabin 10, El Eternauta (The Eternaut), The Thursday Murder Club, Il Gattopardo (The Leopard), and Astérix & Obélix: Le Combat des Chefs (Asterix & Obelix: The Big Fight). There is also a bookmark from Mooney’s bookstore (as seen in You) floating around, along with a bottle of apple cider vinegar, a nod to the upcoming series Apple Cider Vinegar.

Our hero lands in a room full of pink guards. She is dressed in the Squid Game participant tracksuit with an X on her jacket, denoting she’s a participant who wants the games to stop. As mentioned above, her number, 025, is a nod to the year 2025. The guards motion to a gumball machine from Season 3.
Waving goodbye to the games, our hero exits, only to find herself on the Love Is Blind set, where a participant is eagerly waiting to meet her.

She steps into the elevator, only to see a cracked mirror featuring the Black Mirror smiley face, teasing Season 7. Not creepy at all ...
As our hero changes into Wednesday’s attire (a starkly black Nevermore Academy uniform), Thing appears, pointing to her ancestor Goody Addams’ book of spells.
Holding the book in both hands, our hero lifts her gaze and sees a vision of exclusive footage from the upcoming second season of Wednesday. We know, get hyped!
In a flash, our hero is back on the ground dodging lasers straight out of Alice in Borderland.
Crashing through the glass onto an outdoor terrace, our hero honorably faces her Cobra Kai opponents in a Miyago-Do uniform.
On your second watch of this video, look for a billboard on the horizon featuring Big Mouth’s Hormone Monster.
After a skillful foot sweep maneuver, our hero stands tall, dressed in a look inspired by Emily Cooper’s (Lily Collins) signature plaid set from Emily in Paris Season 1. And don’t miss Gabriel’s (Lucas Bravo) L’Espirit de Gigi restaurant right behind her.
Our hero slides down a roof (casual), crashes through a storefront awning, and makes a soft landing on a pile of newspapers. The headline reads, “Benoit Blanc Is Back on the Case,” a nod to Rian Johnson’s third installment of his Knives Out films starring Daniel Craig, Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery.
Our hero is now dressed in a Vinicius Junior Brazil soccer jersey, alluding to the upcoming documentary feature Baila, Vini, as a teammate pulls her up to join a scrimmage.
Troll (you know, the Norwegian monster) watches the match from above, as a soccer ball sails by. The sequel to Roar Uthaug’s 2022 fantasy film will debut later this year.
A billboard of Anitta appears on the street behind our hero, in anticipation of a documentary about the Brazilian superstar out later this year.
Our hero stands her ground as a Dade County Ambulance from the upcoming Miami-set medical drama Pulse races toward her.
Climbing over the top of the ambulance, our hero lands on the back of a horse. She is now transformed into Geralt of Rivia, from his unmistakable hair to the medallion and black leather armor. She’s riding fast with a monster racing behind her. Fans can look forward to Season 4 of The Witcher, starring Liam Hemsworth, dropping later this year.
Robots from The Electric State emerge in our hero’s path.
As our hero charges ahead, several posters featuring the play Stranger Things: The First Shadow appear in the alley. After blowing the roof off the West End, the play will make its bow on Broadway this spring.
Our hero concludes her adventure dressed in Happy’s (Adam Sandler) signature Boston Bruins jersey and holding his hockey putter. Catch up with the long-driving champion when the sequel to Happy Gilmore premieres later this year.
