Whether dancing in ballrooms or running from zombies, 2022 will see even more Asian and Pacific Islander representation on Netflix.
And Golden, our new Twitter and Instagram channels dedicated to covering Asian talent and storytelling, will be the place to join the conversation and celebration.
Here are eight can’t-miss Netflix titles featuring Asian talent that are newly streaming or coming soon:

The ’ton is abuzz over the newest family in town. Season 2 introduces the Sharma family, including Kate (Sex Education’s Simone Ashley) — a new love interest for Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey). The steamy Shondaland series returns March 25.

Fans of period dramas will also be excited about Persuasion, a feature film adaptation of the Jane Austen novel. Crazy Rich Asians star Henry Golding will portray Mr. Elliot, opposite Dakota Johnson’s Anne.

Affluent Asian Angelenos navigate relationships and identity in the second season of the popular reality series. While there’s no release date yet, one thing’s for sure — Kevin will find a way to shed his shirt.

Reality TV fans will also want to tune into the second season of Love is Blind, premiering Feb. 11. Filipino-American actress Vanessa Lachey will serve as host with her husband, Nick Lachey, as a brand new group of singles go on dates — without knowing what each other look like. An international spin-off, Love is Blind: Japan, debuts Feb. 8.

Sujata Day wrote, produced and directed this family drama about a former spelling bee champion who returns home to tackle even harder challenges: her ailing mother and estranged brother. Definition Please is currently streaming on Netflix.

Like Day, Agam Darshi stars in and directs Donkeyhead, which also centers around an ailing parent, but the approach is more humorous. It’s also currently streaming on Netflix.

The Walking Dead meets The Breakfast Club in this Korean drama set in a high school that becomes ground zero for a zombie outbreak. The series premieres Jan. 28.

Michelle Yeoh will show off her sword-fighting skills as Scian in this fantasy prequel series. The action legend will be joined by Sophia Brown and Laurence O'Fuarain in Blood Origin, which is set 1,200 years before The Witcher.
