The joke's on anyone outside of Los Angeles. Netflix is set to make comedy history again with the second Netflix Is a Joke Fest, which will take over the city next year.
The festival will once again bring the biggest names in comedy together at dozens of venues across LA for a one-of-a-kind, 10-day-long event from May 2 through May 12, 2024.
The announcement arrives on the evening of Chris Rock’s new stand-up special Selective Outrage, Netflix’s first-ever live event which is now available to stream.

The inaugural Netflix Is a Joke Fest assembled comedy greats, including Amy Schumer, Dave Chappelle, John Mulaney, Wanda Sykes, Snoop Dogg, Bill Burr, Tim Robinson, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler in April 2022, selling over 260,000 tickets, making it the biggest comedy festival in the US.
The event featured 336 comedians across 295 shows, ranging from the queer stand-up event Stand Out: An LGBTQ+ Celebration and a live reading of a Never Have I Ever episode, to a solo show from Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias show at Dodger Stadium and a joint Pete Davidson and Machine Gun Kelly performance (remember when?).
Much of the action went down at the Hollywood Bowl with the festival making history by tying the record for the longest run of shows ever at the famed venue.
