Comedian Mike Epps is ready to take a chaotic trip down memory lane. His forthcoming Netflix stand-up special, Indiana Mike, features Epps performing at the Walker Theatre in his hometown of Indianapolis, joined by Mayor Joe Hogsett, the Indiana Pacers and the man who has acted as Epps’ criminal lawyer since 1992. Indiana Mike is a love letter to the Hoosier State, his parents’ legacy and… white people, a demographic Indianapolis certainly isn’t lacking.
“I love everything about Indianapolis, man, this is a beautiful town right here,” says Epps in the trailer to a barrage of applause. “But I’ma be honest with you, I’m so tired of acting like I don’t like white people. I only do it in front of Black people… White people, if you heard some of the shit I’ve said about you when I was around Black people…”

Elsewhere in the special, Epps talks COVID-19 vaccines, impenetrable TikTok dances and relationship pitfalls; in other words, your three basic food groups.
Indiana Mike airs globally March 29 and marks Epps’ third Netflix special. It’s just one of Netflix’s upcoming slate of stand-up specials, which includes Ronny Chieng: Speakeasy (April 5) and David Spade’s Nothing Personal (April 26).
