The holidays are synonymous with twinkling lights, glad tidings, and the emergence of a pop superstar who always rings in the season on a high note — and the first few bars of a certain inescapable Christmas tune. It’s only fitting that Mariah Carey opened the show at the first-ever NFL Christmas Gameday (with a little help from Kevin Hart). The globally renowned artist, songwriter, producer, entrepreneur, author, and philanthropist with more than 19 No. 1 singles to her name brought her signature blend of glamour and Christmas cheer ahead of the marquee matchups.

Fresh off of her largest and most spectacular Christmas tour to date, Carey dazzled fans this year with a taped performance of her record-breaking single, “All I Want for Christmas Is You.” On Dec. 9, the perennial holiday track extended its unparalleled reign atop the Billboard Hot 100 to a 15th cumulative week, fueled by massive streams, airplay, and sales as the holiday season reaches its peak. The song also reclaimed the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Holiday 100 chart, reaffirming Mariah’s status as the Queen of Christmas.

Her performance on NFL Christmas Gameday aired ahead of the live games: The Kansas City Chiefs will take on the Pittsburgh Steelers at 1 p.m. ET, and the Baltimore Ravens will take on the Houston Texans at 4:30 p.m. ET. Carey isn’t the only music superstar you’ll be able to see on Netflix that day: Beyoncé will perform in her hometown of Houston during the Ravens-Texans halftime.

Be there with (jingle) bells on.
