Louis C.K. returns to Netflix for the first time in nearly a decade with his 2026 stand-up special Louis C.K. Ridiculous, in which he tackles the many indignities of aging. From the pros (and more pros) of putting his father in a nursing home, to the real reason he had to cremate his mother, C.K. turns personal tragedy into audience catharsis. And yes, there’s even a surprisingly optimistic take on dating from the 58-year-old comedian.

Directed by the comic himself, the one-hour set is his first special premiering with a major streamer since 2017, though he did independently release his last four projects, including Sincerely Louis CK, which was awarded a Grammy for Best Comedy Album in 2022. The Emmy-winning actor has three other specials available to stream on Netflix, including 2010’s Louis C.K.: Hilarious, 2015’s Louis C.K.: Live at the Comedy Store, and Louis C.K. 2017
