The animated adventure How to Train Your Dragon introduces Hiccup (Jay Baruchel), a shy teen struggling to meet his father’s expectations of becoming a Viking — especially when he chooses not to slay a dragon, befriending the creature instead.
“I wouldn’t kill him because he looked as frightened as I was,” Hiccup says of Toothless, his newfound dragon companion. “I looked at him, and I saw myself.”
Like Hiccup, you’ll see yourself in the many movies and shows leaving Netflix in May. That includes Train to Busan, the South Korean action flick in which a dad and his daughter make hard choices while chasing safety during a zombie outbreak.
