It’s nearly time to turn the locks again at the mysterious Keyhouse. The first look at Season 3 of Locke & Key is here, and all signs point to more mysterious adventures — and plenty of hidden surprises — for the Locke family.
The series, which premiered in 2020 and is based on the comic book series of the same name, follows siblings Tyler (Connor Jessup), Kinsey (Emilia Jones) and Bode Locke (Jackson Robert Scott) after they move into their late father’s mysterious childhood home along with their mother (Darby Stanchfield). It isn’t long before they stumble upon a set of enigmatic keys that unlock a variety of doors inside the estate — along with plenty of dark secrets.

And while more adventures are on the horizon, Carlton Cuse and Meredith Averill, co-showrunners and executive producers of Locke & Key, confirmed that the series will come to a close with its third season. “Once we began working on the series, we felt three seasons was the ideal length to bring the story of the Locke family and their Keyhouse adventures to a satisfying conclusion,” Cuse and Averill explained in a statement. “As storytellers, we are grateful that we had the opportunity to tell our version of Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez’s incredible story exactly the way we wanted. We’re keeping the magical keys, though, for our own personal use.”
If you just can’t wait to get back in those doors, these Season 3 sneak-peek photos will surely tide you over... and maybe send a couple of chills down your spine, as there’s something definitely still lurking in the shadows of the Keyhouse.
