Kevin Hart and Mark Wahlberg on Their Bromance, Bikes, and Butts - Netflix Tudum

Watch Mark Wahlberg, Kevin Hart on Why There's No Stunt Butts in ‘Me Time’

    Those cheeks are Boston-bred, baby.

    Aug. 26, 2022

Mark Wahlberg would like you to know that he did not use a stunt butt in Me Time, his new comedy with Kevin Hart. When mild-mannered stay-at-home dad Sonny (Hart) reconnects with party-loving exhibitionist Huck (Wahlberg), the old friends get very intimate, very quickly — because Huck is fully nude.

But you’ll be happy to learn that those cheeks are 100% Boston born and bred, although Hart tells Tudum that the production was prepared with backup: “Three stunt butts on set. Nice guys, by the way,” Hart says.

Much like Sonny and Huck, Hart and Wahlberg are old friends. After meeting and bonding on the Hollywood circuit, the duo decided they needed to collaborate on a project, which eventually became Me Time. Although it was their first time working together, the chemistry flowed perfectly. Says Wahlberg, “the real joy about working with Kevin is his comedy comes from a very nice place. He just enjoys making people laugh. And he is as funny as anybody I’ve ever seen.”

Kevin Hart and Mark Wahlberg’s Quirky Bromance in Me TimeTypical pastimes include public nudity, skydiving and tortoise CPR.

As for their own “me time,” Wahlberg is under strict instruction from his wife to reduce how much time he spends solo. Hart likes to work out and used to ride bikes, but he stopped that hobby after a terrifying encounter. “I got a little garage for my bike, so I opened that up. Saw a snake. I ain’t been back there since,” Hart says. “That snake honestly almost bought my house. He almost bought it. I don’t know if you put an offer in, but I’m not going back there. I haven’t been on my bike since.”

Watch Hart and Wahlberg (and his butt) when Me Time debuts on Netflix Aug. 26.
