Hasan Minhaj is making his return to Netflix. The host of Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj will release a new special, Hasan Minhaj: The King’s Jester, on Oct. 4.

Filmed at the historic Brooklyn Academy of Music, Hasan Minhaj: The King’s Jester captures the Homecoming King’s new one-man show, in which he jokes about everything from fertility to fatherhood to freedom of speech. The King’s Jester was directed by Prashanth Venkataramanujam, who co-created Patriot Act with Minhaj.
In the trailer for the special, viewers get up close and personal with Minhaj as he paces back and forth across a cushy-looking velveteen backdrop, raging against Starbucks’ insistence on selling a drink called “chai tea.” (“Chai is tea! You’re saying ‘tea tea,’ you dum-dum!”) Minhaj also talks about middle school sex ed, his dalliances with the Saudi Arabian government and why he prefers Aziz Ansari to Kumail Nanjiani. (Hint: It has to do with all of Nanjiani’s rippling superhero muscles.)

Since ending The Patriot Act, the actor-comedian has been featured in the second season of The Morning Show, playing Eric, the whippersnapper co-host alongside Bradley (Reese Witherspoon). Minhaj is also set to appear in a new project from Ilana Glazer and Pamela Adlon and in his not-so-spare time, he’s co-writing a new Bollywood comedy with Venkataramanujam.
