If you’re looking for another massive helping of Green Eggs and Ham, then you’ve come to the right place. The Netflix series, based on the beloved Dr. Seuss book, is back for another season in Green Eggs and Ham: The Second Serving. It’s been a while since we’ve hung out with our dear friend Sam-I-Am and watched him indulge in his favorite, uniquely colored dish, so you might need a refresher on where he’s been. Have no fear, here are the Whos you’ll need to know (and get to know very well) in Season 2 of Green Eggs and Ham.

It’s hard not to love Sam-I-Am as much as Sam-I-Am loves green eggs and ham. He’s friendly, loyal and always has the best intentions, even if he’s not so great at executing his actions. In Season 2, he’s on the search for his long-lost mother, Pam-I-Am, following her on a super-secret spy adventure that takes them overseas.

This finicky inventor (whose creations often seem to blow up in his face) isn’t always the friendliest person. It takes him a while to warm up to people. But once he does, Guy-Am-I lights up any room he walks into. As a loyal friend to Sam-I-Am, Guy joins in the search for Sam’s mother, which takes them on the journey of a lifetime.

As an international superspy on the move, Pam-I-Am is always on the move, in disguise and running from her arch nemesis, Philip Trousers. Pam-I-Am is the first to admit that motherhood doesn’t come easy to her but learns to love and accept her son for who he is after spending time with him.

Guy-Am-I’s fearless and adventurous stepdaughter E.B. isn’t afraid of going out on a limb and helping others, especially if that means doing something for the greater good. She gets frustrated by her grumpy stepfather at times, and she aspires to be a spy, just like Pam-I-Am.

A talented painter and fierce, protective mama to E.B., Michellee is just as inventive as her husband, Guy-Am-I, especially when it comes to creating diversions and distractions. She is living proof that opposites do attract as she is much friendlier than Guy is.

This James Bond–esque villain in Season 2 is in hot pursuit of Pam-I-Am and the moo-lacka-moo, which also happens to be a “highly unstable” and dangerous substance that could destroy the world at a moment’s notice. Although Philip Trousers might seem like a madman, he is more concerned about being the looks rather than the brains behind his operations.

The current head of Yookia, a country that prefers its toast with the butter side up, the Dooka of Yookia is in need of the moo-lacka-moo to give his country the upper hand against its rival, Zookia. As the father of Looka, he just wants what is best for his son, even if it means going against his wishes.

Angered by the rival country, Yookia, the Dookess of Zookia is always looking to get the upper hand over the Yooks and prove that buttering your bread butter side down is the right way, even if that means enlisting the help of Guy-Am-I to make a weapon as fierce as the moo-lacka-moo.

This prince of Yookia has a penchant for poetry and eyes that you can get lost in — at least, according to Sam-I-Am. As E.B.’s unlikely friend, Looka is able to see past their differences in light of their common interests.

This evil henchman turned good guy is back in Season 2 to help Sam-I-Am in his epic adventure and interrogate anyone who might appear to be up to some trouble. Leave it up to Gluntz to turn things on their heads.
The all-knowing, oftentimes sassy Narrator is the viewer’s guide to knowing exactly what’s happening with our characters and things going on in the show — even if you can’t actually see him. If you’re ever confused, the Narrator is on hand to guide you through the adventures of Sam-I-Am, which comes in handy when you can’t remember the differences between Yookia and Zookia.
