When his daughters are accepted into an elite private school, shirtless party legend slash stand-up comedian Bert Kreischer moves his family to Beverly Hills. The down-to-earth Kreischers struggle to adjust to their new high-class world, but none more so than Bert, whose inability to filter his thoughts quickly turns his family into social pariahs in their new neighborhood. Can he blend in enough to make it in the upper echelons of LA society?
Free Bert was created by Jarrad Paul and Andy Mogel (Huge in France, The Grinder), alongside Kreischer (The Cabin with Bert Kreischer) — who stars as himself in the series. The fish-out-of-water show also stars Arden Myrin, Chris Witaske, and newcomers Lilou Lang and Ava Ryan, and features cameos from the likes of Rob Lowe, T-Pain, and Pacman Jones.

Bert is moving up in the world. After years of hard work, the blue-collar comedian can finally afford to give his family the life they always dreamed of. Now they’re moving to the fabulous 90210 — aka Beverly Hills — so that daughters Georgia (Ryan) and Ila (Lang) can attend an exclusive private school. Except Bert doesn’t fit in — at all. Especially because he’s well-known for never wearing a shirt. Meanwhile, Ava can’t seem to make any new friends; Ila’s Bert-like behavior drives her normie mom, LeeAnn (Myrin), up the wall; and LeeAnn just wants to make a good impression on the PTA.
When Bert decides it’s time to step up for his family and help his daughters acclimatize, things quickly spiral out of control — thanks to an unfortunate appearance on T-Pain’s livestream, which makes Georgia a target for her school’s bullies. Can he dig himself out of this mess before he and his family become completely ostracized by their new community? Maybe it’s time for Bert to put on a shirt after all.
Yes. Free Bert has been renewed for a second season.
