Emily Cooper (Lily Collins) has faced several major life decisions while she’s been in France working at marketing firm Savoir. The latest? Whether she wants to quit working under her American boss, Madeline (Kate Walsh), and officially sign on with her French boss, Sylvie (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu), and her new agency. As we see in this sneak peek of the first seven minutes of Emily in Paris Season 3, she appears to have made up her mind... but she still has to actually do it. 

Like any self-respecting rom-com heroine, Emily copes with that life-altering stress by having a little too much rosé and giving herself a hair-altering snip — yes, she cut her own bangs. Don’t worry, roommate and BFF Mindy (Ashley Park) responds the way a bestie should when her friend makes emotional hair-related decisions: “Emily, no!”

The seven-minute clip also sees a dramatic confrontation between Emily, Madeline and Sylvie atop the Eiffel Tower. When Emily wakes up — oh yeah, it’s all a dream — she practices quitting while doing her self-care routine. Yet when she arrives at the office, she finds herself unable to do the deed. 

While it feels pretty safe to say Emily’s staying in Paris for now (you know, Emily in Chicago just doesn’t have the same ring), you’ll have to tune in to Emily in Paris Season 3 when it premieres Dec. 21. And if you can’t wait until then, watch the first seven minutes above.
