Hamza Ali Mazari (Singh), an undercover Indian agent on the hunt for the perpetrators of the 2001 Parliament attack, is new to Lyari, a once beautiful neighborhood in Karachi, Pakistan. But over the years, criminal organizations have taken root, and the daily lives of average citizens are dictated by gangs and corrupt Pakistani government officials who give shady enterprises free rein in exchange for smuggling illegal weapons into the country. While at first Hamza seems like a hardworking waiter with minimal ambitions, he quickly makes a name for himself among the gangs of Lyari when he saves the youngest son of a local kingpin from an assassination attempt at a wedding.
Finally recruited into Karachi’s underworld thanks to his expert firearm skills, Hamza believes he’ll be able to hunt down the information the Indian government desperately seeks to prevent further terrorist attacks. But thanks to inter-gang rivalries, amoral military head honchos, and a few innocents trapped in a life they never wanted to live, Hamza has his work cut out for him. What terrible sins will he have to commit in order to convince his boss he’s loyal? And will those crimes be worth it in the end if he prevents a bombing so devastating that it will change the face of India forever?
