Nothing hits harder than a comeback, and the Cobra Kai Season 5 trailer shows no mercy.

After last season’s shocking All Valley Tournament results, the futures of LA’s biggest dojo rivals are up in the air. With John Kreese (Martin Kove) behind bars, sensei Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith) is expanding Cobra Kai — and he wants everyone to know that his “No Mercy” style of karate is the only game in town. Now that Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) is taking a step back from the fighting to reassess the damage he’s caused, Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) must call on longtime friend Chozen Toguchi (Yuki Okumoto) for backup.

“As Terry Silver calls upon some old friends to put the Valley in a stranglehold, Daniel and Johnny are going to need all the help they can get to stop Cobra Kai in its tracks,” showrunners Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg recently told Netflix.

It’s apparent in the trailer that Silver also calls upon an interior designer because the Cobra Kai dojo is looking extra posh next season (they’re entering their reputation era). As for the on-again, off-again “Love Quad,” we’ll have to wait and see if Miguel (Xolo Maridueña), Robby (Tanner Buchanan), Sam (Mary Mouser) and Tory (Peyton List) let bygones be bygones or continue kicking each other’s asses.

Practice your kicks and brush up on everything that went down last season because Cobra Kai Season 5 strikes again on Sept. 9.
