Just in time for Halloween, Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities is about to be unleashed, revealing a host of spooky, kooky surprises. The new horror anthology series was personally curated by the Oscar-winning filmmaker, with eight handpicked directors taking on a new frightening tale in each episode. Some are original stories; others adaptations. But one thing is for certain — all the episodes will have separate but equally star-studded casts.
Starting on Oct. 25, two episodes will hit Netflix every day, and we’ve got your complete guide to every one of them. No spoilers here: just a small glimpse inside the cabinet before it creaks all the way open. Don’t forget your skeleton key.
Oct. 25 - Night One: “Scavengers”

Plot: A cemetery caretaker who moonlights as a grave robber finds himself at odds with the graveyard’s rat population.

Plot: A small-town sheriff (Turman) investigates a gruesome string of missing persons cases with the help of his medical examiner friend (Abraham).
“The Outside”

Written by: Haley Z. Boston (Brand New Cherry Flavor) based on a short story by Emily Carroll
Cast: Kate Micucci (The Little Hours, Mom), Martin Starr (Silicon Valley, Party Down) and Dan Stevens (Downton Abbey, The Guest)
Plot: A self-conscious bank teller (Micucci) starts to use an ointment that provokes an unusual reaction.

“Pickman’s Model”

Written by: Lee Patterson (Curve, The Colony), based on a short story by H.P. Lovecraft

Plot: A young art student (Barnes) meets a macabre painter (Glover) who turns his world upside down.
“Dreams in the Witch House”
