Grab your Dooney & Bourke and send a mass BBM to spread the word: The first look at The Real Bling Ring: Hollywood Heist is here, and unlike some of the key players in the new docuseries, the three-episode arc is certainly a welcome guest. Bling Ring chronicles the notorious tale of a group of teenagers who made a name for themselves burgling celebrity homes over a decade ago, stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars in merchandise from the homes of Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Orlando Bloom and more.
In the brand new trailer, Bling Ring sets the stage for one of the juiciest scandals of the early aughts, and gives the audience a glimpse at just how twisty this story really was, including interviews with the main players over a decade after being caught.

For those who need a refresher on their early-to-mid-aughts gossip, here it is. In 2010, journalist Nancy Jo Sales wrote a piece for Vanity Fair entitled “The Suspects Wore Louboutins.” The sordid story about a group of Los Angeles teenagers who pilfered luxury goods from their celebrity idols was destined for a certain kind of greatness — Sales’ feature became a book, and in 2013, the book became a movie starring Emma Watson. A decade later, The Real Bling Ring: Hollywood Heist fills in the gaps where the Hollywood version can’t: It’s got exclusive interviews with the Bling Ring themselves, including Alexis Haines (née Neiers) and Nick Norgo (née Prugo), both of whom served jail time for their crimes. In addition to never-before-seen interviews with Audrina Patridge, Perez Hilton, and more, the series takes a deep dive into the Bling Ring’s motivations, their (still, to this day) conflicting accounts and the aftermath of one of the juiciest IRL heists in Hollywood history.

The Real Bling Ring: Hollywood Heist is directed by Miles Blayden-Ryall, with executive producers Lawrence Walford, Rob Davis and Alastair Cook. The three-part series debuts Sept. 21.
