The forthcoming film, Damsel, starring Millie Bobby Brown and Angela Bassett sounds like a wild ride, and the announcement of its supporting cast is only heightening our excitement.
The cast for the fantasy adventure, on which Brown is also an executive producer, will include Emmy-nominated House of Cards star Robin Wright as well as Ray Winstone (Black Widow and many other movies that needed a tough, gravel-voiced Englishman), Nick Robinson (A Teacher), Brooke Carter (Close to Me) and Shohreh Aghdashloo (The Expanse). Academy Award nominated Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (28 Days Later, Intacto) will direct.
The official synopsis reads; “A dutiful damsel agrees to marry a handsome prince, only to find the royal family has recruited her as a sacrifice to repay an ancient debt. Thrown into a cave with a fire-breathing dragon, she must rely on her wits and will to survive.”
Betrayal? Human sacrifices? Dragons? Angela Bassett and Robin Wright in a movie about betrayal and human sacrifices and dragons? Honestly, who in their right mind could say no to that?
