What happens in Act Your Age?

Keisha (Campbell), a divorcée from Miami, and Angela (Brown), a recent widower from Norfolk, Virginia, are visiting their best friend Bernadette (Whitley), who’s just been awarded the key to the city. To be clear: Keisha and Bernadette are besties, and so are Angela and Bernadette — but Keisha and Angela? They’re a little bit cool on each other. In the spirit of celebrating Bernadette, however, they put their differences aside and show up with bells on. Except Bernadette was lying to get them both in town. She’s actually eloping! To … a guy the other two have never met. 

Angela is desperate to tell Bernadette that it’s a bad idea — he’s not right for her. Meanwhile, Bernie is determined to tell Angela she slept with Angela’s late husband, Davis, the former mayor of Norfolk. And Keisha’s intent on neither of those things happening. So the trio go out for an impromptu bachelorette hang, and things get more than a little bit messy. So messy, in fact, that they all end up roomies in Bernie’s penthouse. And from there on out, it’s game on for these fiftysomethings living their best lives.
