In 1998, high school jock Si-heon finds out his best friend, In-gyu, has feelings for a fellow classmate, Min-ju, who works at a music store called 27 Record. Si-heon decides to act as In-gyu’s wingman, but when In-gyu chickens out, Si-heon ends up giving Min-ju his number instead. It’s great for Min-ju, who has a massive crush on him.
In the present day, Jun-hee is mourning her long-term partner, Yeon-jun, who died in a plane crash on his way to see her in New York. One day, Jun-hee — who’s wracked with guilt and grief — receives a mysterious message from the Instagram handle @in.search.of_lost.time. It’s a photo of three teens: a girl who looks just like her, a boy who looks just like Yeon-jun, and a boy she doesn’t know. They’re standing in front of 27 Record — a place she doesn’t recognize. As Jun-hee looks for answers, she receives a package from an unknown sender. What’s inside will transport her to 1998, to teen Min-ju’s life, where she grows close to the boy who has Yeon-jun’s face.
