Ushio & Tora

Ushio Aotsuki lives with his father Shigure, who runs a temple. One day he finds something incredible there, and hears a terrifying voice.

Ushio finds the Beast Spear and a monster he names Tora. A stone armor mysteriously begins attacking students at Ushio’s junior high school.

Reiko is known at school for being suicidal. Ushio sees a painting of her at an exhibition and decides to ask her to model for him as well.

Ushio learns of a massacre at a construction site, with marks of sharp teeth on the bodies. Tora vows innocence, but Ushio does not believe him.

Hyou has lost his beloved wife and child and searches for the monster that scarred him as well. When he sees Tora on the news he thinks he is the one.

Ushio visits the beach and meets a boy named Tatsuya. A bored Tora is asked to destroy a monster known as the Ayakashi.

Ushio is anxious to know the truth after hearing his mother is alive. His father, refusing to answer his questions, instead leaves for headquarters.

Ushio and Tora set off to find Ushio’s mother. On the way, they meet a girl mourning her dead father. She blames a defense force pilot for his death.

Ushio and Tora make it to Sendai but immediately lose all the travel money they had! Then Raishin and Kagari appear in front of them.

Ushio and Tora meet the ailing Saya. Her family honors the Omamori-sama, whom they believe brings wealth, but disaster and poverty await them.
