YAIBA: Samurai Legend

Aspiring samurai Yaiba trains in a jungle with his father Kenjuro and a tiger pal. They unexpectedly end up in Japan and stay with Kenjuro's friend.

Yaiba torments Onimaru in an attempt to bait him into a duel. Onimaru refuses to fight — until Shonosuke ransacks his beloved pigeon pen.

After being defeated by Onimaru, Yaiba resolves to get stronger and heads to the mountains in hopes of obtaining a magical sword of his own.

Onimaru summons a band of demons to help him hunt down the Raijinken. Meanwhile, Yaiba begins training with Musashi to master his mighty new sword.

Yaiba and the others head for Ganryujima in search of Sasaki Kojiro's sword. After dealing with a slug-like demon, they stop at a hot springs resort.

In Nagoya, Yaiba and his group encounter the powerful Mr. Bat, who wants the Raijinken. During the confrontation, Mr. Bat bites Musashi's neck.

Yaiba and his companions finally reach Ganryujima, where they encounter Mr. Spider — and a resurrected, but somewhat peeved, Sasaki Kojiro.

Musashi and Kojiro's duel must proceed as recorded so Yaiba can return to his original time, but Yaiba's careless comment threatens to change history.

Needing to develop a new sword technique that can counter Onimaru, Yaiba undergoes further grueling training with Musashi — and a scheming Kojiro.

Yaiba and his companions storm Onimaru Castle, but they fall through a trap into the depths of the stronghold and face Onimaru's new henchmen.
