Mira, a lieutenant for an evil organization, finds himself at a loss when he falls in love with a magical girl sent to thwart his destructive plans.

Now stuck with an assistant observing his actions, Mira resolves to finally settle things with Byakuya but immediately falters upon seeing her.

One of Mira's underlings interrupts his online gift shopping and leads him to a dungeon cell, where he is shocked to see Byakuya in chains.

Hibana is a shy magical girl who works hard under the guidance of her bird familiar. While fighting evil one day, she comes face-to-face with Mira.

Mira is confused by Byakuya and Hibana's friendship. The bird familiar tells Byakuya she's a failure as a magical girl — and the startling reason why.

Mira's colleagues give him advice as he frets over what to buy Byakuya for Christmas. Meanwhile, Byakuya encounters Hibana in a shopping district.

Mira goes shopping with Byakuya for a peaceful Christmas evening together. Later, she surprises him by cooking a uniquely shaped meat dish.

Byakuya spends New Year's Eve suffering another day of problematic treatment from her familiar. The evil organization holds a special meeting.
