Clint Bentley’s adaptation of Denis Johnson’s book explores the meaning of life.

Based on the novella of the same name by Denis Johnson, Train Dreams is the portrait of Robert Grainier, a logger and railroad worker who leads a life of unexpected depth and beauty in the rapidly changing America of the early 20th Century. Joel Edgerton, Felicity Jones, Kerry Condon, and William H. Macy star in Train Dreams, a film from Clint Bentley that “contains all the wondrous, devastating layers of an entire life.” In select theaters Nov. 7, and on Netflix Nov. 21.
