It’s a classic story: a girl walks into a bar, orders a cosmopolitan, gets laughed at right in the face … and falls in love with the cheeky bartender who mocks her drink order. OK, so it’s not exactly classic, but it’s exactly what happened when Mel first came to Virgin River to work in Doc’s office. Of course, it isn’t so temporary now that she’s fallen for such a handsome bartender/bar owner/handyman/Marine sergeant (Jack’s words). Luckily, both Jack and Virgin River were a match made in heaven for our favorite nurse practitioner, and she’s here to stay. And don’t worry, she knows the drink menu at Jack’s a lot better now.

Our first bridesmaid is someone who has known Mel her whole entire life: her older sister, Joey. It’s hard to go back further than that, which is why Joey is also serving as one of Mel’s maids of honor.
Jack’s younger sister Brie became friends with Mel shortly after her own move to town, and we’re honored to have her as another maid of honor at the wedding.

Semper fi! Preacher and Jack have been friends ever since serving together in Afghanistan, and they are now successful partners in Jack’s Bar.
Oorah! Mike and Jack created a lifelong bond while serving overseas, and Mike is pleased to stand next to Jack once again as a groomsman at his wedding to Mel.

Please know that we’re not recommending this restaurant simply because the owner is the groom. Or because the best man is the award-winning co-owner and chef. It’s just the best spot in town, promise. Don’t forget to try the blue crab mac and cheese!

You can find this bakery truck parked at a spot overlooking one of Virgin River’s most scenic viewpoints. So not only do you have one of the best vistas in town, but the coffee is strong and the pastries are unbelievable.

If you haven’t sorted your accommodations yet, please give Jo Ellen a call, and she’ll help you out at the B&B — just tell her you’re coming to town for the wedding!

We recommend a short drive to the boutiques in Clear River if you’re looking for clothes, trinkets, or any souvenirs.

Take advantage of our town’s gorgeous natural vistas with a hike — Virgin River has trails for all different levels of effort, so text for specific recommendations!
