WWE Raw March 31: John Cena and Cody Rhodes Come Face-to-Face

Plus, IYO SKY vs. Rhea Ripley for the Women’s World Championship, with Bianca Belair as the guest referee.

    April 1, 2025

Last week’s episode of Raw streamed live on Netflix from Glasgow, Scotland, and it kicked off with an electric audience voicing their distaste for John Cena and his recent hostility toward fans.

Cody Rhodes holds his belt in the ring.

After berating a raucous crowd in Brussels, Belgium back on March 17 (including the now-viral moment he called out a child who was wearing his merch), Cena came back for seconds in Glasgow, referencing the “clueless kid” and his “poor, pathetic face” before vowing to beat Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41 and, “ruin wrestling for every fan, for every wrestler, for everyone.”

Today, streaming live from the O2 Arena in London, UK, Cena and Rhodes will be face-to-face once again. After Rhodes appeared ready to throw down in the middle of the ring last week until Cena walked away, who knows how the situation might escalate.

WWE Raw March 24 card:

In addition to Cody Rhodes and John Cena facing off, here’s what to expect:

  • Logan Paul will call out AJ Styles
  • Gunther vs. Jimmy Uso
  • IYO SKY vs. Rhea Ripley for the Women’s World Championship (with special guest referee, Bianca Belair)

The match between Gunther and Jimmy Uso comes after Jimmy defended his brother Jey by delivering a thunderous slap to The Ring General last week. As for the Women’s World Championship match — the winner leaves with the gold belt and a match-up against Bianca Belair at WrestleMania.

Who will appear at Raw tonight?

Aside from superstars, there will be some celebrities in the building, many of whom you’ll recognize from your favorite Netflix shows. The March 31 Raw guests include Charlie Brooker (Black Mirror), Peter Serafinowicz (Million Dollar Secret), and Jay Lycurgo (Peaky Blinders).

What happened on WWE Raw last week?

  • Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso defeated A-Town Down Under (Austin Theory and Grayson Waller)
  • Lyra Valkyria defeated Raquel Rodriguez to retain the Women’s Intercontinental Championship
  • El Grande Americano defeated Dragon Lee
  • Bron Breakker defeated Penta (via disqualification) to retain the Intercontinental Championship

After Dominik Mysterio and Carlito got Penta disqualified, they recruited him to The Judgment Day, instructing him to assault Bron Breakker with a steel chair as a sort of initiation. Penta ultimately decided against this, instead attacking Mysterio, before ultimately being overpowered, leaving The Judgment Day (Dom, Carlito, and Finn Bálor) standing victorious.

How will the fallout from that clash spill into tonight’s episode? We’ll find out soon.

What time does WWE Raw start?

This week’s episode of Raw starts at 3 p.m. ET / 12 p.m. PT.
