When the new security guard of an armored truck — who barely passed his physical and firearms test — saves a coworker’s life during an armed robbery, the cash truck crew begin to wonder what else he’s hiding. Wrath of Man stars Jason Statham in his fourth collaboration with director Guy Ritchie, the most notable of which is the cult classic Snatch. The action thriller also stars Josh Hartnett (The Bear), Scott Eastwood (Pacific Rim Uprising), Holt McCallany (Mindhunter), Laz Alonso (The Boys), and Jeffrey Donovan (Burn Notice). And keep an eye out for that Post Malone cameo!

What happens in Wrath of Man?

When two employees of an armored truck and an innocent bystander are killed during a robbery, the bad press forces the company to beef up its security. Enter Patrick Hill (Statham), a man of few words and seemingly middling marksmanship. Despite barely passing his test at the shooting range with 70% accuracy, Patrick comes highly recommended, and his truck crew boss, Bullet (McCallany), takes a shine to him, nicknaming him H.

On H’s first day, with Bullet and “Boy Sweat” Dave (Hartnett), they run into trouble. During a cash pickup, Bullet is nabbed by robbers who use his walkie to threaten H and Boy Sweat: Drive the $2.5 million in the truck to a new location, or they’ll kill Bullet. Boy Sweat panics, but H insists they’re not leaving without their boss. Boy Sweat drives the armored truck to the meetup, and H unleashes black ops-level skills on the hapless robbers. After eliminating six of them — including one during a high-speed foot chase through an abandoned warehouse — it’s clear that H’s training and experience are much more advanced than he let on. Though H saved Bullet’s life, his actions make him seem suspicious to the crew. As they dig into his past, they discover H has an unexpected connection to the company — and that he’s here for vengeance.
