There’s no wrong way to throw a wedding. No matter the size, location, or flavor of the cake, a wedding is all about celebrating love. And because there are so many different ways to celebrate, there are just as many wedding movies. Whether you’re looking to watch Jennifer Lopez — star of Netflix’s Office Romance — play the titular The Wedding Planner, or watch perpetual members of the bridal party class get their own shot at happily ever after, like in 27 Dresses, there’s no shortage of wedding-themed romance films. Keep reading for these and more movies that boast a white dress, a (sometimes unorthodox) maid of honor, and an “I do” or two.

Made of Honor

Tom (Patrick Dempsey) and Hannah (Michelle Monaghan) have been best friends since college. But just as incorrigible playboy Tom realizes that he’s been in love with Hannah for years, she meets a charming Scottish duke, Colin (Kevin McKidd), who proposes after just six weeks. Reeling, Tom agrees to be Hannah’s maid of honor, hoping to use their time together to stop the impending nuptials and make her realize that they’re the ones who are destined to be married. But is it too little too late? This rom-com also stars Kathleen Quinlan (Apollo 13), Chris Messina (The Mindy Project), Busy Philipps (Girls5eva), Whitney Cummings (The Ridiculous 6), and Sydney Pollack (Tootsie).

Rachel Getting Married

This drama, directed by Jonathan Demme (The Silence of the Lambs), stars Anne Hathaway (Colossal) as Kym Buchman, a young woman who’s temporarily released from rehab in order to attend her sister Rachel’s (Rosemarie DeWitt) wedding. Kym’s status as the black sheep only becomes more apparent the longer she sticks around, and it’s clear that some of her family members are unwilling to forgive her for the mistakes she’s made. But one disaster after another — including a blundered toast at the rehearsal dinner and an ill-fated run-in with someone from Kym’s past — leads to a greater question: Is Kym willing to forgive herself? The film, which earned Hathaway an Oscar nomination for Best Actress, also stars Bill Irwin (Interstellar), Debra Winger (The Ranch), and Tunde Adebimpe (Twisters).

The Wedding Planner

Jennifer Lopez (Office Romance) and Matthew McConaughey (The Gentlemen) lead this rom-com about wedding planner Mary Fiore (Lopez), who has one final ceremony to manage before she lands a big promotion. When she’s saved from a potentially fatal accident by a handsome pediatrician, Dr. Steve Edison (McConaughey), with whom she shares an instant connection, it seems like her life is finally on track. That is, until she learns that Steve is the groom whose wedding she’s overseeing. Will Steve go through with his marriage to the ultra-wealthy Fran Donnelly (Bridgette Wilson-Sampras), or is there something undeniably special about the wedding planner? Judy Greer (13 Going on 30), Fred Willard (Space Force), Alex Rocco (The Godfather), and Justin Chambers (Grey’s Anatomy) co-star.
