Virgin River loves a cliff-hanger, which means there are plenty of burning questions stemming from the third season finale that are about to be answered when Season 4 returns to Netflix.
The season is poised to follow town nurse practitioner/midwife Mel (Alexandra Breckenridge) in the early stages of her pregnancy. The biggest question: Who is the father of her child? Is it her loving boyfriend, local bar owner Jack (Martin Henderson)? Or is it her late husband, Mark, with whom she had stored embryos at a fertility clinic? It might take a minute to find out who’s the daddy, though, considering Jack doesn’t really want to know. Not only is he expecting twins with ex Charmaine (Lauren Hammersley), he’s also struggling with the idea of fatherhood in general, considering he doesn’t exactly have a good relationship with his own father.

There’s also the lingering question of who shot Jack. (Oh yeah, he’s recovering from a bullet wound.) While Jack’s military buddy, Brady (Benjamin Hollingsworth), was arrested for the crime, Brady has always maintained his innocence — and in the trailer, Jack realizes it too. Check it out below:

But wait! There’s also the hot new doctor in town, Dr. Cameron Hayek (Mark Ghanimé), who arrives at the practice to assist Doc (Tim Matheson) and Mel and might have a crush on his new co-worker (to be clear, we’re not talking about Doc). Of course, that still doesn’t even cover what’s going on between teen lovebirds Ricky (Grayson Gurnsey) and Lizzie (Sarah Dugdale) or what’s happening to Hope (Annette O’Toole) after her traumatic brain injury. Then there’s also Preacher’s (Colin Lawrence) whole kidnapping/murder cover-up situation (it’s a long story). Seriously, we can’t make this stuff up!
