What could be better than a deliciously dark dose of British espionage to binge on Boxing Day? Fortunately, Treason’s got you covered. Here’s the set-up: When the head of MI6 gets poisoned, the department’s on-the-rise golden boy Adam Lawrence (Daredevil’s Charlie Cox) is put in charge… and also put in the hot seat. An investigation into the assassination attempt leads to suspicion — as does Adam’s relationship with an ex, who just happens to be a Russian spy (Black Widow’s Olga Kurylenko). Suddenly, thorny questions arise: To what lengths did Adam actually go to get the top job at MI6? And is there anyone he can truly trust? This Bodyguard-vibes political thriller will keep viewers guessing until the bitter end, especially since the series comes from the pen of Bridge of Spies writer Matt Charman and is directed by The Witcher alums Louise Hooper and Sarah O’Gorman.
Episodes will drop beginning on Dec. 26.

With a number of successes under his belt at Britain’s spy agency, MI6, Adam’s career is on the upswing. But after his boss (Hinds) narrowly survives an assassination attempt, Adam takes over. Soon, though, his past begins to catch up with him. First there’s a compromising rendezvous with a deadly former flame (Kurylenko). Then there’s his wife (Chaplin), who grows increasingly suspicious about the secrets he’s keeping — and with whom he’s keeping them.
Treason takes place in London, in and around the MI6 headquarters.
