Since it debuted three weeks ago, Tyler Perry’s emotional psychological drama Straw has continued drawing in audiences, earning another No. 1 spot on the English Films List with an additional 20 million views last week. With standout performances from leading ladies Taraji P. Henson, Teyana Taylor, and Sherri Shepherd, the thriller remained a global hit, earning a spot in the Top 10 in 91 countries.

Family crime drama The Waterfront anchored down in the No. 1 spot on the English TV List in its first week with 8.3 million views. Inspired by true events, the series follows a prominent North Carolina family’s crumbling fishing empire, and is creator Kevin Williamson’s most personal work to date. Known for Dawson’s Creek and Scream, Williamson received praise for his latest project, which has been called “one of the best and most deliriously entertaining new shows of 2025.”

From selling out stadiums to hunting demons, the fictional K-pop girl group HUNTR/X can do it all — including dazzling their way to No. 2 on the English Films List. The animated action-comedy KPop Demon Hunters, which follows a trio of K-pop superstars who must save their fans from a rival boy band of demons, slayed its debut week with 9.2 million views and a 96% on Rotten Tomatoes. The film’s killer soundtrack also became an instant hit on iTunes, where it quickly climbed the charts over its debut weekend.

The 2007 zombie-horror movie 28 Weeks Later also took a bite out of the English Films List last week, coming in at No. 8 with 4.5 million views, as fans of the undead anticipated the newest installment in the series.

Audiences continued tuning in for the emotional roller coaster of Ginny & Georgia, as all three seasons dominated the English TV List last week. Now in its third week, Season 3 racked up another 8.1 million views and felt peachy keen at No. 2, while Season 2 landed at No. 8 and Season 1 at No. 10, with an additional 2.7 million views each.

In non-English film, the French action-thriller K.O., about a former fighter seeking redemption, continued its run as the No. 1 movie in the ring with another 6.8 million views.

Last week, viewers fell in love with the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders for a second time, as the iconic cheer team danced their way to No. 5 in English TV. The “compelling” second season of the sports docuseries America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders debuted with 3.3 million views.

In fact, documentaries had a big week across both TV and film. On the English Films List, Trainwreck: The Astroworld Tragedy, which examines the fatal 2021 festival and its aftermath, was the No. 3 most-watched film with 7.3 million views. Viewers also continued diving into Titan: The OceanGate Submersible Disaster (No. 4, 6.7 million views), while Trainwreck: Mayor of Mayhem about the downfall of a brash but beloved Toronto mayor, debuted at No. 6 (6.4 million views). Meanwhile, in non-English TV, the Argentinian true-crime series The Many Deaths of Nora Dalmasso debuted at No. 3 with 2.6 million views, and the French docuseries Cocaine Air: Smugglers at 30,000 Ft. landed at No. 8 with 1.5 million views.
